Their story
Meet the Feld family of Cypress, Texas — Don, Leslie and their 6-year-old son, Cole. Don is an architect who has recently had the opportunity to incorporate energy-saving and waste-recycling projects into his designs at work. As a family they look for ways to lessen their carbon footprint on the environment. Leslie is a returning college student who looks to make a difference in making our world a better place for the next generation, including their son, Cole. Cole just started first grade and is excited to help the family conserve energy and work towards winning the
TXU Energy Power Saver Challenge Grand Prize. |

Their goals
The Feld family has a keen interest in exploring ways to reduce their personal impact on the Earth. They are interested in learning more about radiant barriers, home automation, fluorescent and LED lighting, as well as solar energy supplementation. The Feld family hopes to discover many ways to make changes to their home to help conserve available resources. They also want to help teach their extended family, neighbors and all Texans new methods to reduce energy consumption. |
